Job description

Currently, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to work closely with the CEO and the rest of the team to drive growth, secure funding, manage cash flow, and build financial systems that support rapid scaling.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain a strong financial position, manage cash flow effectively, and ensure the company's financial position for further growth.
  • Attract new potential investors, incl. sharing and managing (financial) information. Build trust and maintain alignment with company goals.
  • Building and maintain complex financial models for investment purposes and large-scale infrastructural investments.
  • Explore grant (non-dilutive capital) funding opportunities that can support technology development and/or market access and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Develop and implement scalable operational systems to support the company's growth without compromising efficiency or quality.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including staff, technology and infrastructure, to support the company's expansion plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks, including market changes, regulatory matters, and other factors that could impact the business.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration), coupled with robust financial management skills.
  • At least 5-7 years of financial leadership experience. Working with startups, venture capital, or high-growth companies is a plus
  • A hands-on professional with a good understanding of the challenges associated with a fast-growing scale-up organisation.
  • Preferably, deep knowledge of grant funding schemes, public–private financing, and capital raise trajectories
  • Passion for Sustainability: Shares our passion and sense of urgency to contribute to a sustainable future.
  • Excellent professional English skills are required; strong Dutch language proficiency in both speaking and writing is preferred.
  • Availability to start: Ideally, June 2026
