Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Business Developer to develop sales in Northern Europe (DACH, BENELUX, Scandinavia).
WATTALPS designs and assembles high-performance Lithium-ion batteries in France, ranging from 48V to 800V, and weighing from several hundred kilograms to several tons, with onboard energy ranging from a few dozen to several hundred kWh.
These batteries are intended for the electrification of vehicles or machines used intensively or in harsh environments, such as construction, agriculture, maritime, or transportation.
WATTALPS batteries use a unique immersion cooling technology, the result of many years of research and protected by several patents. This technology, combined with proprietary control electronics developed in-house, ensures a very high level of safety, validated by several demanding certifications.
Your Tasks
Business Development
In collaboration with the sales and general management:
Identify, prospect, and develop new clients in France and across Europe.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet growth objectives.
Build the image and visibility of WATTALPS.
Participate in national and international trade fairs and ensure follow-up.
Contribute to the development of technical and commercial communication materials.
Commercial Project Management
In collaboration with the sales team and technical teams, and in direct contact with the client:
Analyze client needs and expectations in response to project calls.
Prepare budgetary and technical components of offers.
Coordinate project follow-up with the client and technical project manager.
Oversee administrative, financial, and commercial aspects of the project with the client.
Ensure continuity with the client throughout the project lifecycle, from prototype/pre-series to production phases.
Technical Expertise and Consulting
In collaboration with technical teams:
Provide technical and commercial expertise to customers.
Work with teams to adapt offers to the specific needs of clients.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and events to promote the company’s products and services.
Analysis and Reporting
In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Project Manager and the sales department:
Track and document market trends and competitor activity.
Maintain up-to-date dashboards and sales performance indicators.
Analyze sales data to identify improvement and growth opportunities.

Requirements
Skills:
Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles.
Proven expertise in managing complex sales projects, especially with OEM clients or system integrators. In-depth knowledge of at least one of the target markets is preferred.
Higher education background:
Either in business/marketing complemented by technical training (electricity, mechanics, energy...) or solid technical experience.
Or in engineering (BTS, DUT, etc.) supplemented by business/marketing training or experience.
Fluent spoken and written English required; German is a strong asset.
Passion for technical products and environments.
Comfortable with computer tools, especially Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and/or CPQ is a plus.
Experience in a multicultural and international environment is an advantage.
